Description
Designed to be used with the books “The Wilcox Guide to the Finest Watercolour Paints”, and “The Artist’s Guide to Selecting Colour”, “The Paint Selection Workbook” has been designed to enable full exploration of your chosen paint range. It is suitable for watercolors, gouache, and thinned acrylics.
The characteristics of your own paints can be studied in detail and recorded for future reference. Samples can also be taken and shared of the colors used by fellow artists for comparison. Once complete, the worksheets are placed into the clear protective sleeves inside the cover.
Each book comes with 15 sheets of the highest quality, acid free 300 gsm Bockingford watercolor paper, printed with two panels on both sides. The panels contain a complete range of guided exercises to explore each color in depth. The hardcover Workbook has 20 clear protective sleeves to store these exercises and more for future reference. Complete instructions are printed inside the front and back covers for handy referral.
Its compact size makes it perfect to carry along with your paint kit for plein air painting, workshops, and classes, or to keep on your studio table.
Each of the colors you are considering or have chosen to include in your range can be explored in depth. At full strength, as a wash, with white added, deciding on the complementary, etc. The more that you know about your colours, the better they will serve you, and the more control you will have in color mixing.
